My manuscript UKRAINE OVER THE EDGE: Russia, the West, and the “New Cold War” has found a publisher. McFarland Books will be publishing it next year. It examines the geostrategic, civilizationalist-ideational, historical and contemporary political causes of the Ukrainian crisis, Crimea takeover, and Donbas civil war. It also addresses international and domestic implications and consequences of the Maidan revolt and resulting crisis, including those for Russian-West relations and the ‘new cold war’, Western democracy-promotion and regime transformation policies, Ukraine’s democratic development, and the potential for a neofascist authoritarian takeover of its unstable hybrid regime.
