Over 1,000 people protest against Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Amsterdam on April 8, 2013, with rainbow flags flying at half-mast around the city that prides itself on enjoying every kind of freedom. The brightly dressed protesters gathered in a festive and musical atmosphere opposite the museum where Putin was to have dinner with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, with many more streaming in, an AFP correspondent reported..
