Some may remember “Baghdad Bob”, Sadaam Hussein‘s Minister of Information Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf. He routinely told ‚whoppers‘during wartime propaganda broadcasts in 2003, painting Iraq’s disastrous war effort during the Perisan Gulf War as a victorious march against American invaders. Although it is doubtful that he had studied constructivist or post-modernist theory and was deploying them with his often laughable denials of the disasters being suffered by Sadaam’s defense forces, there is no doubt that some of his most illustrious successors have. They are the simulacrats of Western governmental, intelligence, jounalistic, and academic circles. Their most outstanding protege` is Ukrainian leader Volodomyr Zelenskiy, whose simulacra state was born in lie simulating reality and establishing the Maidan regime. Of course, all governments engage in propaganda, particularly during war time, but in the past the dissembling occurred in relation to separate issues, not the overall state of affairs, not on the scale we see in the post-modern world, and not fort he purpose of creating a new reality.
